Report: Royals working to bring back Alex Gordon

Alex Gordon

Alex Gordon appears to have all the makings of a Kansas City Royals lifer.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported on Sunday that the Royals are talking about a return with the veteran outfielder.

Gordon, who is a free agent at age 35, has spent his entire career with Kansas City since being drafted by them in 2005 and making his MLB debut in 2007. Despite the Royals’ whopping 103 losses last season, Gordon still pulled his weight by hitting .266 with 13 home runs and 76 RBIs on top of winning his seventh career Gold Glove Award in left field.

It was seen as something of a shocker when Gordon re-signed with Kansas City in 2016, but now he is on track to finish his career right where it began.
