Britney Gore is opening up about what led to her husband Terrance’s sudden death earlier this month.
In a recent interview with WMBB-TV in Florida, Britney Gore shared new details about Terrance’s death earlier in February at the age of just 34. Britney said that Terrance had an emergency surgery to remove his appendix and then ended up experiencing fatal complications.
“He went in for an emergency surgery,” said Britney of Terrance. “He had his appendix removed. He came out of surgery and was doing OK. And had some complications after, possibly with the anesthesia, and went into cardiac arrest.”
Terrance died on Feb. 6 in Panama City, Fla. Britney said in an emotional post at the time that Terrance had passed away after what was supposed to be a routine medical procedure.
Known as a speedster, Terrance played in Major League Baseball from 2014-22 for five different teams. He won World Series titles in 2015 with the Kansas City Royals, in 2020 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and in 2021 with the Atlanta Braves.
Terrance stole 48 bases over just 123 total games in the majors (regular season and playoffs), often coming in as a pinch-runner during crucial late innings in playoff games. He is survived by Britney and their three children, sons Zane and Camdan and daughter Skylyn.
