The Detroit Tigers are reportedly still likely to take Auburn pitcher Casey Mize with the No. 1 overall pick in Monday’s MLB Draft.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported that Mize would likely be the pick unless the Tigers could land another player they liked significantly below the slot money value.

It’s easy to see why Mize is in the running to be picked first overall. If the Tigers are believers, they’re better off making the move rather than worrying too much about potential slot ramifications further down the draft board.
