Troy Tulowitzki leaves game with calf strain
It was perhaps inevitable that Troy Tulowitzki was going to wind up hurt again, but the New York Yankees were hoping it would not happen this soon.
Tulowitzki left Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Tigers with a left calf strain, and it is unclear if he is going to wind up on the injured list.
Troy Tulowitzki has now come out of today's game. Gleyber Torres moves over to short, as Tyler Wade enters for Tulo.

Tulowitzki’s long, brutal injury history unfortunately makes this unsurprising. He hasn’t played 140 games in a season since 2011, and last surpassed 100 games in 2016. Add in the fact that the Yankees have been very badly hit by the injury bug early on and things are not going great in the Bronx.
