Yankees’ Miguel Andujar lands on IL with shoulder injury
It has not been a good day for the New York Yankees on the injury front.
The Yankees are placing third baseman Miguel Andujar on the 10-day injured list after he strained his shoulder diving back into third base on Sunday.

Andujar’s IL stint follows Giancarlo Stanton’s, who also landed on the injured list on Monday.
If there’s any good news for the Yankees, it’s that the injury will allow them to give D.J. LeMahieu some more at bats at third after a hot start to the season. Andujar was the runner-up for AL Rookie of the Year in 2018, though, so that’s a silver lining at best.
