Twins manager not concerned about Joe Mauer’s struggles in minors
Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor says he is not concerned about the struggles Joe Mauer has experienced during a rehab assignment.
Mauer was cleared from a concussion and began a rehab assignment on Tuesday. He went 0-for-6 in a doubleheader on Tuesday and then was 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday for the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings.
Despite the ugly 0-for-10 numbers, Molitor isn’t too worried.
Joe Mauer went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday, bringing his rehab assignment to 0-for-10 with 2 Ks in 3 games, but Rochester broke its 10-game losing streak with a 4-3 win in Scranton. Paul Molitor said "not too concerned about results" w/Mauer, so he could return Friday.
