Twins pitcher goes viral for wholesome postgame moment with his dog
Joe Ryan got the win for the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday and also got to spend some quality time with man’s best friend afterwards.
Ryan had a strong outing against the Chicago White Sox to pick up his first victory of the season. He went six innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits and striking out eight. Minnesota ultimately won 6-3.
After the game, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com shared a photo of a very wholesome moment that Ryan had with his dog. Over an hour after the game went final, Ryan was playing with his dog on a completely empty Target Field, hitting some baseballs to the pupper. Check it out.

Here is a closer picture of the dog that was shared earlier this month by Ryan’s girlfriend Clare Stonich.
Ryan, who started on Opening Day for the Twins in 2022, is looking to improve on a 2023 season where he went 11-10 with a 4.51 ERA. But it is great to know that Ryan is also part of an always-growing list of dog lovers in baseball.
