Vin Scully abruptly rants about socialism during broadcast (Video)

Vin Scully is not a fan of socialism.

We found that out during Friday night’s broadcast of the Dodgers vs. Brewers game, when for whatever reason, Scully veered off on a brief tangent about the flaws of socialism, particularly in Venezuela.

Perhaps my favorite part is that there’s absolutely no context to indicate what prompted it. Maybe Vin just really wanted to call out Venezuela.

Is it just me, or is Scully getting more and more unfiltered in his final year as a broadcaster? He let Ryan Howard have it earlier in the season, too. With 2016 likely to be his last season, maybe Vin is just getting all of his potentially controversial opinions out there before he rides off into the sunset, and honestly, that’s quite fine by me.
