Watch: Vladimir Guerrero Jr nearly hits home run out of stadium
Vladimir Guerrero Jr remains one of the greatest shows in baseball.
Vlad Jr made his first appearance of the season with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Thursday. His “welcome back to Buffalo” gift to the fans was a monstrous 3-run home run that nearly left the stadium in Moosic:

Here’s another look at it:

This was probably his most impressive homer since the one that went off a hotel last year.
Vlad is working his way back from an oblique strain suffered in spring training. He had a brief rehab stint in Single-A and will probably be with the Bisons for a few weeks until the Blue Jays call him up. Toronto has been playing games with him and manipulating his service time, leading to consideration to him filing a grievance.
It’s a crime to Vlad, the fans, and the history of the game that he has wasted so many home runs in the minor leagues. He should have been called up straight from Double-A last year, where he was batting .402 with a 1.120 OPS.
