Watch: Enrique Hernandez hilariously sticks it to hecklers after home run

Kike Hernandez

A group of fans who were sitting behind home plate when the Colorado Rockies hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday night tried to make life difficult for opposing hitters, but they failed miserably when Enrique Hernandez came to bat in the top of the ninth inning.

Hernandez was sent to the plate as a pinch-hitter after the Dodgers took a 9-8 lead. The three hecklers behind home plate could be heard saying things like, “my grandmother’s bigger than you,” but it clearly didn’t bother Hernandez. We know that because he broke the game open with a three-run home run.

After he rounded the bases, Hernandez made sure to let the fans know he heard them. Here’s the awesome chain of events, but beware that there is some inappropriate language:

Hernandez has had to apologize in the past for calling out his team’s own fans, but there will be no apology for that. To their credit, the fans seemed to take it well. They knew they looked bad and had no choice but to own it after Hernandez owned them.
