It seems quite likely that the Oakland Athletics will trade starting pitcher Sonny Gray before the July 31 trade deadline, and they’ll have plenty of options when they do.
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers are the primary suitors for Gray, with the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros also involved.
Hear #Braves have gotten more involved for Gray. #Yankees #Brewers viewed as strongest pursuers. #Astros still trying too. #Athletics

Gray has attracted a ton of interest, which is no surprise for a 27-year-old with a track record of success under team control through 2019. Another team has reportedly gotten involved, but we’ve heard Milwaukee, New York, and Houston come up in rumors over and over again.
