Yankees place Giancarlo Stanton on 10-day injured list
The New York Yankees’ new season is not off to the greatest start in terms of injuries.
The team placed outfielder Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a left biceps strain. Outfielder Clint Frazier has been recalled to replace him.
The Yankees have placed OF Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a left biceps strain and recalled OF Clint Frazier from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

There was no word on the severity of the strain, nor was it entirely clear when he injured himself. Regardless, he’ll be out at least a week and a half, and perhaps even longer than that.
Stanton was fine when he stepped out in New York last week, but the opening series against the Orioles was apparently quite unkind to him.
