Yankees’ Luke Voit credits teammate’s bat for hot hitting
New York Yankees slugger Luke Voit has been on a tear at the plate lately, and he appears to have a particular piece of lumber to thank for it.
After Voit smacked three hits for two runs and two RBIs in Sunday’s 11-5 win over San Francisco, he hinted that the success was due to his using teammate Miguel Andujar’s bat since the last homestand, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

The 28-year-old Voit is raking right now with four homers, ten RBIs, and four multi-hit games in his last seven contests. Since that last homestand began on Apr. 12, Voit has raised his batting average from a rough .196 to a solid .283.
As for Andujar, he has yet to play this season due to a shoulder issue. But you can see where Voit is coming from, especially with what Andujar did last year.
