Yasmani Grandal: Dodgers do not fear Diamondbacks in playoffs
The Los Angeles Dodgers have hit a major rough patch, and the Arizona Diamondbacks have a lot to do with it.
The Dodgers have dropped 10 of their last 11 games, including five straight to Arizona, who well and truly have their number right now. There is a very real chance that the two teams could match up in the NLDS if the Diamondbacks win the NL Wild Card game, which looks like a distinct possibility right now.
Are the Dodgers worried about that matchup, despite being on a historic pace for much of the season? Catcher Yasmani Grandal says no.
Yasmani Grandal said #Dodgers would not be at all apprehensive to face Diamondbacks in playoffs. "We know we’re the better team,” he said.

Grandal speaks with confidence, and that’s good, but the Diamondbacks have a winning record against the Dodgers this season at 10-8. If it were up to them, they’d probably choose to play someone else.
The Dodgers are downplaying concerns about their play, and they’re probably right to. This is just a bad stretch, and better it happen now than in a month, but it’s still a bit worrying to see.
