Dodgers not concerned despite recent struggles
A little thing like a recent losing streak isn’t about to have the Dodgers worried.
Los Angeles lost on Sunday to the San Diego Padres 6-4, marking their third straight series defeat. Not only did the Dodgers lose three of four to the Padres, but they also were swept by the Diamondbacks and lost two of three to the Brewers. They have dropped eight of nine and are now 92-44, which is still the best mark in baseball by a comfortable margin.
Faced with questions about the recent losing, several Dodgers, including manager Dave Roberts, were not concerned.
Dave Roberts: "I can assure you this won't break us."

Cody Bellinger: "I'm not worried. And I know no one in this clubhouse is worried about what's happened in this past week."

Pitcher Alex Wood put things into perspective, saying that the team had been so good for so long, that a little bit of losing was inevitable.
Alex Wood: "I think it's a statistical improbablity to go an entire season without getting punched in the face."

The Dodgers could lose nearly every one of their remaining games and still probably make the playoffs. Better to get the losing out of the way now than when the playoffs begin.
