The 2016 National Basketball Hall of Fame Class was scheduled to hold a press conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, but one of the inductees was not in attendance after he failed to make it to Springfield on time.

NBA writer Sean Deveney heard the same thing.

Iverson, one of the most exciting players in NBA history, was often criticized throughout his career for not taking the game seriously enough. His infamous “we talkin’ about practice” rant is one of the most viral sports moments to date, and we recently learned some interesting new information about it.

If we told you one guy would be late to the podium on Thursday, you wouldn’t have thought it was Shaquille O’Neal or Yao Ming. It just had to be A.I.
