Anthony Edwards sends message to women pursuing him after big payday

Anthony Edwards is laying down the law after securing his paper from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves star Edwards is officially swimming in money, having gotten a five-year designated rookie max extension from the team this week. Edwards’ deal could be worth up to $260 million when all is said and done.
On Tuesday, Edwards posted a hilarious video to his Instagram Story addressing all the women who are after him now that he is extremely rich.
“All you females that think you gonna come up off a n—- from signing a contract, she the only one,” said Edwards in the video before panning to his girlfriend, Jeanine Robel. “She the only one that’s coming up. She new to the table, so I’m a little green for her.
“Everybody else, the light is the same color as my damn jacket [red],” the All-Star swingman added.

That’s Mike Jones energy right there. “Back then, they didn’t want me. Now I’m hot, they all on me.” In other words, Day Ones only.
For Edwards, the former No. 1 overall pick, he is still only 21 years old. But he is a special two-way star (averaging 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game last season), and he seems to know how the game is played off the court as well.
Perhaps all the opportunists would be better off trying their luck with one of the other NBA phenoms who just collected $260 million deals of their own.
