Spurs coach Becky Hammon does not think Chris Paul was being sexist
Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon tweeted on Friday to defend Chris Paul, who is being called sexist for his remarks about a female referee.
CP3 was upset with all the technical fouls he and his team received during Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers and said that refereeing might not be the best profession for Lauren Holtkmap, who is the NBA’s third female full-time referee.
That was definitely a questionable comment from CP3, who likely would not have said the same thing if it were about a male referee. Still, Hammon, who is the first female full-time assistant coach in the NBA, does not think Paul was being sexist.
Chris Paul @CP3 is a competitor & he had an opinion, I don't think it had anything to do with the refs gender.

Well, we can agree with Hammon on one account: CP3 loves to complain and whine regardless of the gender of the referee. But, again, he probably wouldn’t have wondered aloud whether the person was in the right profession had it been a male referee. I just don’t see that coming out of his mouth in that case.
