Ben Simmons reportedly dealing with new injury during reconditioning

Ben Simmons’ Brooklyn Nets debut might have to wait a bit after the newly-acquired guard had some physical issues during reconditioning.
Simmons is dealing with back soreness, and will require further strengthening before he can play, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. There is no clear timetable on how much longer it will be before Simmons is able to debut.

The injury does not sound urgently serious and is likely the result of Simmons’ efforts to ramp up in order to play. He has not played in a game this season, so things like this are probably inevitable.
Notably, the Nets are set to face the 76ers in Philadelphia on March 10. If Simmons’ issue lingers long enough to keep him out of that game, you will definitely hear some conspiracy theories about it.
