Ben Simmons’ NBA comeback attempt might have gotten a boost from a recent workout he took part in for NBA teams.
Simmons reportedly worked out in Florida this week, and initial reports suggest the workout went well. Veteran Sacramento radio host Carmichael Dave said Thursday that one person who attended the workout said Simmons looked “fantastic.”

There are thought to be at least a few teams interested in Simmons if he does fully commit to an NBA comeback. One team in particular has recently been linked to the former No. 1 overall pick.
Simmons did not play at all last season, but is believed to be fully healthy now. His lengthy injury history will be a concern to some teams, though at this point any team that did sign him would mostly be pursuing him as essentially taking a flier on the veteran.
Simmons last played for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2024-25. He averaged 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in a reserve role for them.
