Blake Griffin is ready for his starring role.
The retired former LA Clippers star Griffin is getting his own late-night show on Amazon Prime. Steven Zeitchik of The Hollywood Reporter reports that Griffin’s show will be dubbed “The Stepback with Blake Griffin” and is set to air on both Prime and on YouTube.
Griffin will reportedly be sitting behind a desk and discussing topics including gambling, NIL, taxpayer-funded stadiums, and more. The first episode is expected to release on Oct. 20, coinciding with the start of the NBA season.

Griffin, 37, played in the NBA from 2009-23. He made six All-Star teams, earned five All-NBA selections, and also memorably won the Slam Dunk Contest in 2011. Overall in the NBA, the high-flying forward Griffin averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game over 765 total appearances.
After retiring as a player, Griffin went straight into sports media and spent last season as part of the studio crew for Amazon’s coverage of the NBA. Griffin also produced some incredibly hilarious moments on the air and is now set to go solo with his own late-night talk show for the network.
