Bronny James’ genes run strong (at least in one regard).
The Los Angeles Lakers sophomore Bronny had a nice game in Summer League play on Monday night. Against the rival LA Clippers at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Bronny finished with a team-high 17 points on an efficient 6/10 shooting from the field (including 3/5 from deep). He also had five rebounds and five assists, albeit in a losing effort as the Lakers fell by a 67-58 final score.
After the game, Bronny was interviewed by NBA TV. Fans were stunned at just how much Bronny sounded like his father LeBron in the clip. One X post even said “close your eyes” (in reference to how you would probably think that it was LeBron talking if you just closed your eyes and listened instead).

Bronny is still only 20 years old, but his voice already appears to be nearly as deep as that of his 40-year-old father. While Bronny is just 6-foot-3 to LeBron’s 6-foot-9, the heritage is certainly undeniable in other regards.
Even dating back to his high school days, Bronny was already evoking memories of his dad with some of his show-stopping highlights on the court. Though the highlights have been far less frequent in the NBA for Bronny thus far, it doesn’t take much for him to remind fans that he is indeed a proud member of the James clan.
