Bronny James has received interest from multiple teams ahead of the NBA Draft, but a reporter says the former USC Trojans guard only intends to work out for a few teams.
Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that James has received invitations to work out for over 10 NBA teams. However, Charania says James is only going to visit with a couple teams. He named the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns as two teams with whom James will visit.
“I’m told he’s only going to visit a couple of those, and that’s going to include the Lakers and the Phoenix Suns,” Charania said on “Run it Back.”
Where James prefers to be drafted will “come down to the development plan. It’s going to come down to guaranteed money,” according to Charania.

James, 19, played one season of college basketball and did not have a significant impact for USC. But the Lakers have the No. 55 overall pick and could consider pleasing LeBron by drafting his son in that spot. The Suns have the No. 22 overall pick. Phoenix’s general manager is James Jones, who was LeBron’s teammate on both the Heat and Cavaliers. Perhaps James has given his stamp of approval to the Suns drafting his son.
