A’ja Wilson was involved in an interaction with an Indiana Fever fan during the Game 2 loss on Tuesday night.
Wilson approached a fan sitting on the baseline after he was seen pointing and yelling something at her, although further details said the fan didn’t say anything bad and was allowed to return to his seat.
However, Chicago Sky star Natasha Cloud is not happy with the incident, and she sent a strong message to the Fever in a rant on Threads.
“Imma be the one to say it’s time for Indy as an organization to start denouncing some (expletive). … If he’s willing to do that (expletive) in public to a woman he doesn’t know….how do you think he acts in his home?” Cloud said.
Cloud also concluded with one final reply on Threads: “No it’s not our job to continue to fix the job is to hoop & be safe doing it.”
Cloud had an on-court exchange with Enes Kanter Freedom during a game between the Sky and Fever, although that one was played in Chicago at Wintrust Arena in August.
Regarding the Wilson incident, one witness told Outkick that the fan in question didn’t say anything bad or offensive, although Wilson certainly was not thrilled during the game or after.
Nonetheless, Natasha Cloud is not hiding how she feels, and it will be worth watching to see if the WNBA does anything to address this situation.
