Zion Williamson appears to have gotten into outstanding physical shape as he prepares for the upcoming NBA season, but rapper Cam’ron has his doubts that the body transformation will serve the New Orleans Pelicans star well.
On his latest “It Is What It Is” YouTube show, Cam’ron had a very roundabout way of saying he is not convinced that Williams or Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic will be better players after they lost a significant amount of weight during the offseason. The rapper and entertainer compared Williamson’s weight loss to when a crackhead that Cam’ron used to give money to got clean and stopped being funny.
Cam’ron claimed there used to be a crackhead in his neighborhood who would hold up signs with funny jokes written on them. Once the drug addict got clean, the jokes disappeared. Since the guy stopped making Cam’ron laugh, Cam’ron decided not to give him money anymore.
“The moral of the story is he cleaned himself up, and he wasn’t that funny. And the jokes he was telling me, I wouldn’t give him a dollar for,” Cam’ron said. “Them s**ts got whack. They was trash. But, hey, he was clean. The jokes fell off, but he was clean. … I can’t pay for the clean you, but I respect it. You don’t know what you’ll get with Luka and Zion. So, go ahead and clean them up and try to make them skinny.”
You can hear the clip, but be aware that it contains some inappropriate language.
Cam really just compared Zion Williamson losing weight to the neighborhood crackheads getting clean 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/cWahyuetoI

That was quite the analogy.
While most Pelicans fans probably would not compare Williamson to a crackhead who gets clean and loses his sense of humor, that does not mean they are all optimistic about the former No. 1 overall pick. In fact, many fans are not buying what Williamson said about how good he feels.
Williams, who is owed $127 million over the next three years, missed 52 games last season due to injury.
