Celtics reportedly still not on Anthony Davis’s long-term list

Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis has refused to rule out any team publicly, but at least for the moment, the list of teams he’d currently consider committing to long-term remains at four, and the Boston Celtics aren’t one of them.

Davis raised some eyebrows Saturday when he said that he’d accept a trade to any team and denied that the Celtics had been ruled out as a destination. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, however, Davis’s preferences haven’t changed, and Boston remains absent from his long-term list.

Davis has denied that there’s a list at all, but there clearly is one, and it has four teams on it. Sure, any other team could theoretically trade for him and spend next season trying to make him so comfortable that he doesn’t want to leave, as Davis can’t actually block a trade anywhere. It would, however, be a risky proposition.
