Report: Celtics intend to trade or buy out David Lee
David Lee will reportedly be departing Boston within the next two weeks.
The Celtics forward will be traded or bought out by the February 18 trade deadline, according to Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck.
Some trade buzz: BOS intends to move David Lee by Feb. 18 deadline, or buy him out. Lee is out of rotation and wants a role somewhere.

Lee is buried under a pile of other big men in Boston. He has completely fallen out of the rotation and hasn’t even played since January 10. With free agency beckoning at the end of the season, it makes complete sense that Lee would want to go somewhere he can play. His contract could help balance the numbers on a Dwight Howard trade, but such a move still seems unlikely. Plenty of teams could use him.
