Chandler Parsons leaves fan hanging with a fist pound (Video)
Chandler Parsons was one of the biggest reasons the Houston Rockets were able to avoid a sweep on Monday night. The 24-year-old dropped 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds and eight assists. Parsons helped lead a 13-0 run in the third quarter of a game in which the Oklahoma City Thunder led by 13 near the end of the first half.
The Rockets snuck away with a 105-103 victory and live to play another day. After the game, a fan who was sitting courtside wanted to celebrate with Parsons by going in for a fist bump. As you can see from the video above, Parsons stonewalled the dude. If I’m not mistaken, it appears he intentionally made him think he was going to pound fists and then casually walked away. Here it is in GIF form, courtesy of Ben Golliver:
That’s gotta hurt. I could understand if the guy going for the pound was a Thunder fan, but one of your own? At least when LeBron left this fan hanging it appeared to be an accident.
UPDATE: Parsons heard about the missed fist bump and apologized to the fan –
S/O to my man I left hanging with the fist bump. Just now seeing this,I’ll get you next time at game 6!!
