Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Chet Walker has died at the age of 84.

The NBPA confirmed the news of Walker’s death on Saturday night.

Walker’s NBA career spanned 13 seasons from 1962 to 1975.

The Bradley alum started his NBA journey with the Syracuse Nationals, who drafted him 14th overall in 1962. During his rookie year, the 6’7″ swingman played alongside fellow Hall of Famers Hal Greer, Dolph Schayes, and Larry Costello.

The Nationals franchise moved to Philadelphia and became the 76ers the following year. Walker played six years as a member of the Sixers and earned three All-Star nods.

Walker won his lone championship ring in 1967 when the 76ers ended the Boston Celtics’ 8-year championship run. He was the third-leading scorer on the team behind Greer and Wilt Chamberlain.

Walker was traded to the Chicago Bulls in 1969. He made four All-Star teams over seven years in Chicago with averages of 20.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on 48.3% shooting.

Walker was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.
