Size is one of the few areas in which the LA Clippers are lacking, and they could be looking to address that on the trade market.
Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus reported Wednesday that Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes is believed to be a prime target for the Clippers. Pincus notes that flipping Ivica Zubac’s four-year contract for Baynes straight up would work but that the Suns might shy away from a long-term salary for a true center to back up Deandre Ayton, likely necessitating the involvement of a third team.
Baynes, who is having a career year with 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, is a big body who sets hard screens and stretches the floor, making him a quality big. He is already 33 though as well as a free agent after the year and probably would not close for the Clippers over Montrezl Harrell.

The 24-11 Clippers may also have a viable way to fill another need instead, but frontcourt play will be important come the postseason, and they can’t forget it.
