Media members could not help but notice the rather unique T-shirts some Los Angeles Clippers coaching staff members wore to kick off training camp.
The Clippers held the team’s first training camp day on Tuesday at the Kaiser Permanente Training Center located within the Intuit Dome campus in Inglewood, Calif. One of the first things that jumped out to reporters was a shirt some coaches had on with a profane four-word message emblazoned on it.
“GET THE F–K BACK,” the shirts read.
Upon closer inspection, the F-bomb was actually an acronym:
“F” stands for “Floor Balance.”
“U” stands for Urgency
“C” stands for “Consistent Communication & Concentration”
“K” stands for “Know We Lost To Denver Because Of Transition”

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters that it was lead assistant coach Jeff Van Gundy who had the shirts made.
“JVG. Transition defense. Get the ‘F’ back,” Lue said when asked who came up with the shirt idea.
The Nuggets eliminated the Clippers in a grueling seven-game first-round series that saw both teams trade haymakers. A few plays could have been the difference between the Clippers advancing to the Western Conference semifinals last season and going home early.
The Clippers are in the midst of one of the wildest NBA scandals in recent memory. It’s the coaching staff’s job to make sure the players keep their attention focused on the court by whatever means they can — including, but not limited to designing cheesy T-shirts.
