Damian Lillard appears to take shot at Blazers fans over social media
Damian Lillard does not seem to have a lot of love left for his longtime former fanbase.
The Milwaukee Bucks star Lillard went viral this week for the comment he left on a recent Instagram post by a Portland Trail Blazers fan page. The post was a meme that read, “When someone brings up how Dame isn’t doing well on the Bucks” along with the movie quote from the 1995 cult classic “Friday” saying, “What the f–k that gotta do with me.”
Lillard responded to the post by commenting, “Fake a– mfs” (profanity edited by LBS).

The 34-year-old Lillard is one of the most beloved Blazers ever, spending his first 11 career seasons there and making eight All-Star teams in Portland. As such, this is quite a turn of events, especially over something as seemingly harmless as a meme post.
That said, many Blazers fans were angry over the way that Lillard demanded a trade from the team two offseasons ago, and Lillard even felt inclined to respond to the backlash. Though Lillard did author a heartfelt letter to the Portland community upon his departure for Milwaukee in 2023, he has probably gotten enough negativity from certain segments of the Blazers fanbase to make him feel a little bitter.
