Rockets GM Daryl Morey makes light of wild confrontation with Clippers
The dust-up that took place between the Rockets and Clippers on Monday night is all the internet seems to be talking about, and even Houston general manager Daryl Morey has decided to get in on the fun.
For whatever reason, Morey brought Paul Pierce into the discussion. Pierce, who finished his career in L.A. before retiring last year, was with the Clippers two years ago when DeAndre Jordan verbally committed to sign with the Mavericks but was infamously convinced by Pierce and some of his other teammates to stay in L.A. Morey appeared to be referencing that with a tweet following Monday night’s drama:

Compared to some of the hilarious memes we have seen, that was obviously a pretty weak joke. Plus, it was Morey’s team that reportedly tried to sneak into the Clippers’ locker room to confront their opponents after some heated disagreements on the court.
It’s going to be a while before people move past this story, so Morey probably felt he was better off trying to join the chorus of people mocking his players.
