
David Griffin has been linked to numerous front office executive jobs since he was fired as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers over a year ago, and he is reportedly a candidate for yet another.
Marc Stein of the New York Times reports that Griffin interviewed for the New Orleans Pelicans’ GM vacancy on Thursday.

Griffin appears to be the most accomplished candidate, with others including a handful of current assistant GMs.
Other known candidates in the Pelicans' search: Golden State's Larry Harris, Brooklyn's Trajan Langdon, Houston's Gersson Rosas and, as @NYTSports reported earlier this week, Washington's Tommy Sheppard

Griffin was the GM of the Cavs from 2014 to 2017 and helped build a championship team around LeBron James in 2016. He has been considered for other GM jobs since the Cavs let him go, but he has yet to take one.
The Pelicans are said to be looking for a top basketball executive who can take control of what has become an ugly situation since Anthony Davis publicly requested a trade
