All signs point to Arizona center DeAndre Ayton going first overall to the Phoenix Suns, and we got more evidence of it on Wednesday.
Suns general manager Ryan McDonough revealed that Ayton is already making friends with Phoenix players, and he intends to watch Game 3 of the NBA Finals with a group of them Wednesday night.
McDonough said Ayton has gotten to know Booker, Jackson and Chriss well.

Devin Booker, Josh Jackson, and almost all of the group here working out in Phoenix watched Ayton’s workout. They all will get together to watch The Finals tonight, too.

Ayton himself made clear that he isn’t going to work out with any other team.
Sooooo Ayton says he's not working out for other teams, that he knows he'll be the No. 1 pick, that PHX is home, and he'll be hanging out with Booker, Jackson and the rest of the #Suns tonight.
He *might* wind up going No. 1, guys.

There had been a belief in NBA circles that Ayton would ultimately be the top pick. It looks like he’s more or less confirmed it himself.
