Deandre Ayton was not one for words after the Phoenix Suns’ 121-111 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
Ayton only attempted three shots in 27 minutes for four points in the game. The total matched the lowest of the No. 1 pick’s season, which also came against the Clippers earlier this season.
Reporter Gina Mizell says Ayton, who usually speaks with reporters after games, did not talk in this case.

The rookie’s seeming frustration is understandable. It’s tough to talk when you’re not much of a factor in a game. And if Ayton was concerned he might say something he shouldn’t, it was probably best that he didn’t say it to reporters.
