The Splash Father is officially headed to the national stage.

Former NBA guard Dell Curry is joining Amazon Prime as they begin their coverage of the league in the 2025-26 season. The network made the announcement in a social media post on Thursday.

Curry, 61, will be serving as a game analyst for Amazon. Here is the full list of names announced by Amazon as part of their official media roster.

Having played in the league from 1986-2002 (and winning a Sixth Man of the Year Award with the Charlotte Hornets in 1994), Curry is also known as the father of current NBA guards Steph and Seth Curry. Dell began working as a television color commentator for the Charlotte franchise in 2009.

Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer notes that Dell will continue to serve as the Hornets’ main analyst on FanDuel Sports Southeast, even in spite of his new gig. Amazon is only set to air a total of 66 regular NBA season games next season (plus the NBA Cup, the NBA play-in tournament, and the playoffs). That means that Dell will still be free to work Hornets broadcasts for “the vast majority” of their games, Boone adds.

It is possible too that Amazon has a greater plan here in hiring Dell. We also learned this week that the network could be eyeing a hire of Dell’s son Steph some time in the future as well.
