DeMarcus Cousins appeared to confirm his impending departure from the Golden State Warriors in an Instagram post on Saturday.
The free agent-to-be shared the message on his Instagram story, thanking the Warriors and their fans for a memorable season and concluding by stating “I’m at ya necks next season.”

In other words, judging by that last sentence, Cousins sees himself elsewhere next season. That’s not a surprise. While he left the door open on a return during his exit interviews, the Warriors can only pay him about $6.3 million next season, and even with the injuries that plagued him this season, he should be able to get more than that on the open market.
Cousins averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 30 regular season games for Golden State. That dropped to 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in limited playoff action as Cousins was held back by injury.
