Denver Nuggets fans were not happy when the local ABC affiliate accidentally cut away from Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals during the fourth quarter.
Social media was flooded with complaints when Denver 7, the city’s ABC affiliate, abruptly cut away from the Nuggets game with just under six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Based on one screenshot, the channel instead cut to a feed of a women’s hockey game between Ottawa and Montreal of Canada’s PWHL.
Anyone watching in the Denver market was impacted by the error, though it was quickly corrected.
Yes, women's hockey on silent. https://t.co/A4BGqjcu2w

The Nuggets were trailing 77-75 at the time, so needless to say, people were stressed to miss any of the game. The only saving grace was that the problem was very brief.
The Nuggets went on to lose 92-87, but Denver viewers were able to see the entire finish without incident. Their loss evened the series with Oklahoma City up at two games a piece.
Denver local news stations have a history of errors and technical difficulties. This was just a case of particularly bad timing.
