Watch: Derrick Rose was heartbroken to learn of trade to Knicks

Derrick Rose was in tears upon learning of his trade to the New York Knicks in 2016.

Stadium is airing a documentary about Derrick Rose called “Pooh: The Derrick Rose Story.” One of the clips they shared to help promote the documentary includes footage of the moment Rose learned he was being traded to the Knicks.

Rose was drafted by the Bulls first overall in 2008 and quickly developed into an All-Star and MVP for his hometown team. Chicago looked like a leading contender in the East for years to come until multiple knee injuries derailed his career.

Chicago finally decided to part ways with the point guard in the summer of 2016, sending him to the Knicks. Things went haywire in New York and didn’t really get back on track until this past season with the Timberwolves.
