Sophie Cunningham is on a real heater right now.

The Indiana Fever guard Cunningham has landed an extremely appropriate new endorsement deal. She announced over Instagram earlier this week that she has partnered with Ring, the home security systems company.

“On the court, I protect my team. At home, @ring protects me,” Cunningham wrote in her post.

That is very fitting for the 28-year-old Cunningham, who recently became a fan favorite after standing up for her Fever teammate Caitlin Clark during a game. Cunningham, who is in just her first season with Indiana, saw an immediate spike in her jersey sales as a result of the incident.

Cunningham is only averaging 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game off the bench for the Fever this season. But she is quickly becoming one of the more popular players in the WNBA and is even drawing attention from athletes in other sports (albeit for slightly negative reasons).

It helps too that Indiana is doing well as a team at 9-8 overall, which ranks at third in the Western Conference despite Clark only playing in nine of those 17 games thanks to various injuries. The Fever also won the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup (the league’s equivalent of an In-Season Tournament) with a victory in the final against the Minnesota Lynx earlier this month. After the Commissioner’s Cup triumph, Cunningham celebrated in the locker room with her teammates by twerking on camera.
