Doc Rivers’ daughter Callie convinced DeAndre Jordan to stay with Clippers?
There were likely a number of factors that went into DeAndre Jordan’s decision to back out of his deal with the Dallas Mavericks and re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. Was Doc Rivers’ daughter one of them?
According to Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Jordan was “all systems go” to sign with the Mavericks as of last Monday night. That’s when the then-free agent center began talking to people like Rivers’ daughter, Callie.
A source said he believes Doc Rivers' daughter, Callie, got to DeAndre Jordan and convinced him 2 change his mind and return 2 the Clippers.

Price didn’t provide any further details, but it’s interesting that Rivers’ daughter would supposedly have a significant impact on Jordan’s decision. Callie is probably quite familiar with the league (for whatever that’s worth), as her dad has been a coach for years and she has dated NBA superstars Paul George and Kyrie Irving.
If you heard what LeBron James said on Sunday about his vacation with Chris Paul, you get the impression that CP3 also may have had a hand in Jordan deciding to stay in L.A.
