Donovan Mitchell liked anti-Simmons chant from Celtics fans
Donovan Mitchell sure seemed to appreciate the troll job by Boston Celtics fans on Monday night.
Celtics fans chanted “not a rookie” when Ben Simmons was at the free throw line during the third quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers’ playoff game.

The chant is a reference to the Rookie of the Year debate. Simmons, along with Mitchell, is a leading contender to win the award. But there has been a controversy over Simmons’ rookie status considering he was drafted in 2016 and missed that season due to injury, whereas Mitchell was drafted last year and is a “true rookie.”
Minutes after the chant was unleashed during Game 1 of the series, Mitchell responded on Twitter with some crying laughing face emojis.

The Jazz rookie approves. And we know the issue matters to him. All you have to do is look at his sweatshirt to know that.
