Draymond Green and Matthew Dellavedova traded shots early in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday, prompting many people to recycle the argument that the Cavs guard is dirty.
As the Warriors were coming down the court, Green put his shoulder/elbow into Delly in the open court. Rather than just being shaken up and intimidated by the physical Green, Delly got back at him and rammed him in the thigh, sending Green to the floor.
It was clearly a response by Delly to being leveled by Green, but it prompted people to call him dirty for going at Green’s legs.
Though an argument can be made that Delly is dirty based on these three facts, it’s irresponsible to say he was dirty just for giving it back to Green the same way he was dished out to him. Most people should respect that he didn’t back down.
