Dwyane Wade reportedly met with his fashion guys before playoffs
The Miami Heat are widely considered to be favorites to win back-to-back NBA titles this season. There are very few people — the players included — who believe the Milwaukee Bucks have a chance to pull off a first-round upset. Dwyane Wade, for one, does not seem too concerned.
The NY Post’s Page Six reported over the weekend that Wade prepared for Game 1 against the Bucks by meeting with his fashion designer buddies on Thursday. Stylists Dean and Dan Caten, who are the founders of the clothing line Dsquared2, were spotted at a restaurant called Bianca chatting it up with D-Wade. One fellow diner said he or she heard Wade and the Caten brothers discussing several custom pieces they could create for the Heat star.
Two nights later, Wade went out and scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists in a 110-87 win over Milwaukee. If he has to meet with his fashion designers to discuss future business plans during the NBA Playoffs, it’s probably a good thing that he’s doing so at the beginning of the first round. If D-Wade is meeting with his shoe designer before Game 6 of the NBA Finals, then we can start criticizing him.
