Fan runs onto court wearing T-shirt telling LeBron to return to Cleveland in 2014

LeBron James returned to Cleveland Wednesday for the fourth time since leaving the Cavaliers to sign with the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010. Though James angered many fans by leaving the Cavs, some fans still would love to have him back.

With 8:23 left in the game, one Cleveland fan ran onto the floor to show James how much he was missed. The fan was wearing a T-shirt that said, “We miss you” on the front, and “2014 come back,” on the back. The message on the back of the shirt was a plea from him to have James return to the Cavs when he becomes a free agent again. James must have seen the shirt, because he went over to give the fan a pat on the head before the crazy person was escorted off the court at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Heat’s 23-game winning streak appeared to be in jeopardy when the Cavs were leading by 21 points at halftime. However, Miami closed the gap in the third quarter and took the lead in the fourth. A few minutes before the fan’s interruption, James hit back-to-back 3-pointers and pounded his chest in front of the crowd. He had his second triple-double in his past three games at Cleveland, and he led the Heat to a 27-point comeback and 98-95 win.

The fan begging James to return to Cleveland is a huge change from the nasty reception the Heat star received in his first game back at Quicken Loans Arena in 2010.
