A fan proposed to his girlfriend at Monday’s Orlando Magic-Miami Heat game by using a half-court shot attempt to set her up for the surprise.
The young woman, Elena, prepared to take a half-court shot with $1,000 on the line. As she was setting up to attempt her shot — which went about halfway to the basket — her boyfriend was behind her getting ready to propose. The in-game host told Elena to turn around after her miss, and that’s when she saw her boyfriend down on one knee with a ring in a box extended.
Elena began crying in disbelief, said yes, and the two hugged and kissed.
