The Golden State Warriors took a beating on the court Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but they were already getting pummeled online before the game even started at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Warriors severely lacked star power in the Minnesota game. Already without Jimmy Butler for the rest of the 2025-26 NBA season, the Dubs showed up at the meeting with the Timberwolves with two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry and former NBA Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green not in uniforms because of knee and back issues, respectively.
When Golden State shared its starting lineup for the game on X, the post was met with online ridicule. Let’s just say it wasn’t close by any means to Golden State’s “Death Lineup.”

The banged-up Warriors did not get the last laugh either. After the first quarter concluded with Minnesota ahead by just a point, the Timberwolves broke away and dominated the rest of the evening for a 108-83 victory.
Quinten Post led Golden State with 13 points, while Brandin Podziemski added 12 points. Overall, the Warriors shot a horrible 35% from the floor and went only 9-for-39 from deep, showing just how much they missed the offensive brilliance of Curry.
Looking ahead, the Dubs have a date with the Utah Jazz on Wednesday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
