Former Sixer does not think Bryan Colangelo was using burner accounts

Bryan Colangelo

Reports that Philadelphia 76ers general manager Bryan Colangelo has been using secret burner accounts on Twitter to criticize players lit the Internet on fire Tuesday. But one former Sixer has his doubts that it actually occurred.

Indiana Pacers big man Trevor Booker, who spent an earlier part of this season with Philadelphia, sent a tweet in the wake of the surreal scandal that appeared to hint that he did not believe Colangelo was using burners.

The 30-year-old Booker began the season with the Brooklyn Nets but was dealt to the Sixers in December as part of their trade of Jahlil Okafor (one of the players Colangelo was allegedly tweeting criticisms about). Booker was then waived by Philly in February and signed with the Pacers days later.

As for Colangelo, who has been GM and president of basketball operations for the Sixers since 2016, he has gone out of his way to deny the accusations, so we will just have to wait and see what the truth is here.
