Fred VanVleet bloodied after taking inadvertent elbow
Fred VanVleet was treated on the court after being bloodied by an inadvertent elbow during Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday night.
VanVleet was standing in the paint as Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston went up for a layup early in the fourth quarter. Livingston caught VanVleet in the face with his left elbow.

The Toronto Raptors guard was down on the floor after being struck and bleeding from around his right eye. ABC’s cameras later showed a tooth on the floor as well.

VanVleet left the game and was shown going into the locker room for further medical attention. He had eight points, six assists and four rebounds in 29 minutes before exiting the game.
ESPN’s Doris Burke later reported that VanVleet was cleared of a concussion and received seven stitches. He was cleared to return to the game.
